Take a look at our images of Buy Fresh Buy Local® WV at the WV State Fair August 14-22. With help from the WV Dept. of Agriculture and the WVU Extension Service, the WV Farmers Market Assn project had a gorgeous banner in each of two buildings, the Gus R. Douglass Building and the WVU Building. BFBL WV Steering Committee members & WVFMA board members Cheryl Brown, Jack Dunbar, Larry Lower, Jay Mahoney and Susan Sauter helped get the banners set up or handed out postcards explaining the program. No, they didn't ask where the fried dough and cotton candy in hand came from! This was a huge committment by all of the above people and entities. When you see any of them, be sure to say a big "Thanks!" You can also ask Susan when she'll be posing in the State Seal of West Virginia again!
