Membership Categories and Benefits
Market Membership:($50) Open to farmers and/or grower groups representing
two or more growers.
Benefits:
- Each Market Entity is counted as one member and is entitled to one vote.
- Website posting, with upates, of your farmers market.
- Resources available for download from WVFMA website (for example, templates
for bylaws, market rules, vendor applications and marketing and promotional
materials).
- Cooperative approach to issues of concern to all markets (for example,
access to group liability insurance.
- Education activities for market farmers and market managers.
- Education activities for consumers about farmers markets and products.
- Annual meeting and voting rights.
Associate Membership: ($35) Open to all other agricultural groups
that do not qualify for another membership.
Benefits:
- Link to your agricultural website.
- Resources available for download from WVFMA website.
- Education activities.
- Cooperative purcahsing or exchange opportunities.
- Annual meeting (Note: Associate Members cannot vote.)
Friends of the Market: Friends cannot vote but can participate in
most other activities. Open to the following:
Founder
Patron ($250)
Farmer/Artisan/Market Manager ($25)
General Public ($25)

- Education activities
- Cooperative purchasing or exchange opportunities
- Annual Meeting (Note: friends of the Market cannot vote.)
